Using purple corn as a unique alternative to yellow corn - which is frequently used in classic american pilsners and mexican cervezas - we were able to combine the hoppy, pre-prohibition lager-style with the light, low alcohol, and easy drinking mexican cerveza beer style. Noble citra hops give el matador a light but ever present lychee, lime, grapefruit and floral aroma. Real purple corn offers a light corn flavour and slight tea-like tannic impressions for a dry, crisp and refreshing take on 2 classic styles.
