We wanted to offer some insight as to what has been happening over at P49 lately! As of this week, Ren Navarro has concluded company-wide “stay interviews,” which are temperature checks of our staff on the topic of company culture. Creating this open and honest space allows for staff to give their feedback on company interactions and further discuss their individual needs and views as a P49 employee.

Follow-ups for these interviews were all done in-person (week of April 11th), which was a wonderful experience as the majority of our interactions with Ren Navarro have been virtual.

Over our next quarter, we will be reviewing our existing company policies and finding gaps where constructive adjustments can be made.

We are also continuing to look inward to learn where we can be involved in social issues and give back to the community. We were recently given the opportunity to educate ourselves about two incredible charities promoting social justice and support — World Central Kitchen (currently feeding Ukrainian refugees escaping to Poland) and PHS Community Services Society (who designed Nora Hendrix Place, a building that provides housing, healthcare, harm reduction and health promotion for some of the most vulnerable and under-served people in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and Victoria).

Cheers,

P49 Team
