Parallel 49 Brewing Company ("we", "us") operates parallel49brewing.com. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, who else sees it, and how you can get it changed or removed.
What we collect, and when
We only collect personal information when you give it to us. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for in order to browse the site.
Newsletter signup
Your name and email address. We use them to send you news about our beers, events and releases, and for nothing else. We record the date and time you signed up, because Canada's anti-spam law requires us to be able to show when you consented. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Table reservation requests
Your name, email address, phone number, party size, requested date and time, and any notes you add. We use these to contact you and confirm the booking. A reservation request is sent to our taproom team by email.
Contact form
Your name, email address, phone number and message, so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools record technical details of your visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and the site that referred you. On our Where to Buy map, if you allow it, your browser shares your location so we can show nearby stockists. If you decline, we estimate your approximate location from your IP address instead. You can refuse both — the map simply centres on the brewery.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The first two are needed for the site to function properly; blocking them means forms and the age confirmation will not work as expected.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use the following service providers to run the site:

Your information may leave Canada
Most of the services above are based in the United States, so your personal information is stored and processed there. While it is in another country, it may be accessible to that country's courts and law enforcement under their laws. If you would rather not have your information handled this way, please don't submit it through this site — call or visit us instead.
How long we keep it
Newsletter subscribers stay on our list until you unsubscribe, at which point Klaviyo records the unsubscribe and stops sending to you.
Reservation requests and contact messages reach us as email and stay in the mailboxes they were sent to. We don't delete them on a set schedule. If you would like a message you sent us removed, email us and we will delete it.
Google Analytics data expires automatically on Google's own schedule.
Your choices and your rights
- Unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link at the bottom of any email we send.
- Ask what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it, and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
- Opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's browser add-on.
- Refuse location sharing when your browser asks. The map works without it.
Children
This is a brewery site and is not intended for anyone under the legal drinking age in their province. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Protecting your information
The site is served over an encrypted connection, form submissions are protected against spam and abuse, and access to the systems holding your information is limited to people who need it.
